Hal Blood

The New England Fishing & Outdoor Expo is proud to welcome Master Maine Guide Hal Blood of Big Woods Bucks as a seminar speaker for this year’s upcoming show. Hal Blood is a seasoned hunting professional who turned his passion for deer hunting into a fulfilling career. He and his wife are also the owners and operators of Cedar Ridge Outfitters, a 25-acre sporting resort located in Jackman, Maine, renowned for its quality hunting and fishing guides and outstanding service.

Hal has been a Master Maine Guide for more than 30 years and he has been able to share his deer-hunting expertise in two nationally-recognized books, including Hunting Big Woods Bucks. Following the overwhelming success of his publications, Hal teamed up with long-time friend Chris Dalti to open Big Woods Productions, their own video production company, with the intention of producing instructional hunting videos that would both teach and entertain aspiring and skilled hunters alike. These videos evolved into a television show starring Hal and Chris named “Big Woods Adventures TV (BWA).” The show is a major hit in New England and beyond, garnering the attention of outdoorsmen across the country, and is sponsored by Kittery Trading Post.

Hal writes a monthly column for Northwoods Sporting Journal and is a member of the New England Outdoor Writers Association and has been featured in numerous national publications such as Field & Stream, Outdoor Life and Deer & Deer Hunting. Hal was also recently contracted with Freedom Group as a hunting expert representing brands such as Remington, Marlin, Barnes Bullets and Mountain Khaki.

During the New England Fishing & Outdoor Expo, Hal will be offering seminars where he will expound on his extensive hunting experiences and share valuable information with his audience. Additionally, Hal, Chris and their professional staff will have a booth where guests can speak with them and find out more about Big Woods Productions. Dedicated to providing “the perfect mix of education and entertainment” in every facet of his career, Hal’s seminars are not to be missed.
